Saudi Aramco has successfully responded to a minor fire incident at its oil terminal facility in Ras Tanura at about 9 am today.
Emergency fire services have fully contained the fire. Workers in the facility have been evacuated.
It is reported that eight (8) workers have sustained injuries as a result of the fire, including six contractors and two employees. The injured have received medical treatment.
The cause of the fire is not yet known. The Company will conduct a thorough investigation to determine the cause.
Saudi Aramco oil and gas operations were not impacted as a result of the incident.
The Company will release additional information as it becomes available.
