A major aim of Aramco’s global citizenship programs is to advance future generations through science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education initiatives that inspire, engage, and enable young people around the world.

Central to unlocking talent, supporting future workforces, and fueling innovation is our focus on strengthening STEM education globally. As of November 2025, our global programs have reached approximately one million learners worldwide, reflecting the scale and impact of our sustained investment in future-ready skills.

Our key STEM partnerships

World Robot Olympiad

In 2024, we partnered with the World Robot Olympiad (WRO) — a global, annual robotics competition for young people — aiming to empower the next generation of engineers and scientists through education and innovation. Through this partnership, we contributed to expanding the WRO ‘Future Innovators’ competition, providing a global platform for young inventors to design, build, and program robots to solve real-world challenges. We also launched in 2025 a multilingual, WRO Learn platform for robotics training that aims to target over 60,000 students per year to expand access to robotics education.

STEM Racing

In 2020, we established a long-term partnership with STEM Racing (previously known as F1 in Schools), a global educational program that aims to raise awareness of STEM in school students through a competition to design, make, and race a miniature F1 car. Teams are evaluated by industry professionals on their cars, business plans, marketing, and presentations.

The top performing teams from the regional competitions progress to national competitions, with national-level winners invited to compete at the annual Aramco STEM Racing World Finals event.
