At Aramco, artificial intelligence has become ever-more-central to how we enhance performance and build resilience every day. Now we’re using our scale and our experience with advanced technologies to help build an AI-powered future for Saudi Arabia and the world.

Our investments in AI extend from improving our core operations to powering a new generation of global infrastructure that could transform industries. Through initiatives like our planned investment in HUMAIN — the PIF-owned AI infrastructure, applications and solutions company — we’re accelerating innovation and helping position the Kingdom as a regional and global hub for AI excellence.

AI in our operations

Aramco is already using AI widely across our core business to enhance efficiency, reduce production costs, and to help cut emissions at a growing number of our facilities. In 2024 alone, we recorded $1.8 billion of AI-driven Technology Realized Value (TRV), and we have identified 442 use cases for AI in our operations, with 200+ solutions already deployed and 100+ in development as of late 2025.

Navigating underground

Our AI models analyze drilling plans and geological data to simulate reservoirs and help engineers make better-informed decisions.

Better operations

AI-powered autonomous drilling helps prevent failures, and helps Aramco maintain its standing as one of the lowest Upstream carbon intensity producers in the industry.

Investing in digital growth

Beyond our core operations, Aramco is strategically investing in the AI and digital businesses that will help define the future. Through Aramco Digital, we provide solutions in connectivity, cybersecurity, and cloud computing that can empower the industrial sector and help accelerate Saudi Arabia’s industrial transformation.

With AI and data centers projected by the International Energy Agency (IEA) to account for around 20%^* of total electricity growth in the world’s advanced economies between the end of 2024 and 2030, we believe that the dual strengths of affordable, reliable energy and financial agility will allow us to deliver world-leading hyperscale AI solutions.

Building the foundations with HUMAIN

Building intelligent systems requires a complete, integrated digital foundation that will form a vital part of national infrastructure. This is the role of HUMAIN, a hyperscale AI offering in which Aramco plans to be a key investor. HUMAIN is constructing every required element of AI infrastructure, from data centers to cybersecurity, to position itself as a global hub for ‘compute-as-a-service’, offering essential power for training and running large models.

HUMAIN, aims to build the backbone of the Kingdom’s AI future: next-generation AI data centers, cloud services, advanced AI models, and full-stack and tailored applications.

Building talent and capability

We believe people are the foundation of every successful digital transformation. That’s why Aramco has committed to training more than 6,000 AI developers in collaboration with institutions including Imperial College, Caltech, and KAUST, developing the specialists to drive industrial intelligence across Saudi Arabia and beyond.

By combining global expertise with local capability, we’re nurturing a digitally fluent local workforce who are ready to power the Kingdom’s technological ambitions.
