For decades, Aramco has invested in sport as a force for progress — strengthening communities, developing talent, and creating opportunities across generations. Today, that legacy extends to the global stage, where we continue to elevate excellence through major sporting partnerships.

In 2024, Aramco announced a four-year global partnership with FIFA, becoming a FIFA Major Worldwide Partner with rights across major FIFA events — including the FIFA World Cup 2026^TM and FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027^TM. To date, Aramco has supported a number of FIFA tournaments, including as the presenting partner of the FIFA Intercontinental Cup in 2024 and 2025, and also as the official energy sponsor of the inaugural FIFA Women’s Champion’s Cup 2026.

The partnership with FIFA is another proud moment in this history, and aligns closely with our goals of providing energy around the world, inspiring progress, enabling communities, and empowering individuals.

We have set ourselves the goal of becoming the leading digitalized energy company and we are working to achieve this goal through digital transformation — deploying advanced technologies to enhance productivity, strengthen safety, and support lower emissions. Artificial intelligence (AI) plays a central role in this transformation. Across our Upstream operations — from seismic interpretation and subsurface modelling to drilling enhancement — AI and machine learning help us reduce uncertainty, improve forecasting, and make complex decisions with greater precision and confidence.

From the earliest stages of exploration, AI and high-performance computing are accelerating the discovery of oil and gas reserves, while fleets of autonomous underwater and aerial vehicles are enhancing how seismic data is gathered — helping improve efficiency and safety. In drilling and field development, digital twins, robotics, IoT-enabled systems, and advanced materials are enhancing every step of the process, helping reduce downtime and lower costs. Across production, innovations such as nanotechnology, predictive analytics, and real-time monitoring tools are increasing output while helping reduce waste, water use, and emissions.

At a facility level, AI, sensors, and automation are powering intelligent operations that continuously adapt and improve. For example, at Khurais, one of our largest oil fields, we have deployed 40,000 sensors to monitor 500+ oil wells, enabling the first Advanced Process Control (APC) system for a conventional Aramco field. By combining Big Data analytics, AI, robotics, and smart sensors, operations have improved through innovations such as AI-driven fuel efficiency, robotic maintenance, and fiber optic pipeline monitoring. Upon roll-out these digital solutions helped us to achieve a 15% increase in oil production and a 100% improvement in troubleshooting response times.

At a human level, AI helps enhance expertise — helping engineers to test scenarios faster, focus on higher-value decisions, and operate more predictably.

Together, these technologies are not only enhancing our operations but also enabling the Company to respond with agility to global demand, ensuring a stable, efficient, and reliable energy supply for the world.

In both energy and sport, performance depends on precision, clarity of the goal, and continuous improvement. Just as FIFA turns performance data into meaningful insight for teams, players and fans, we leverage real-time intelligence from 7+ billion data points from across our operations every day to help ensure reliable and secure energy supply. Power rankings provide a dynamic view of performance, capturing how players are performing in the moment rather than relying solely on traditional statistics or outcomes. Through our partnership with FIFA, we will apply our expertise in data, analytics, and technology to help bring these deeper insights to the fans of the global game.

FIFA Power Rankings presented by Aramco introduces a new way of using data to evaluate how players perform in each match. Using an extensive set of metrics, each player’s performance is assessed across the full 90 minutes, with datasets available for fans who want a clearer, more in-depth picture of the game.

Football is one of the most watched sports in the world. Yet performance is often judged by the most visible moments — goals, assists, and highlight plays. The game, however, is shaped just as much by unseen contributions: the defensive intervention that stops a counterattack, the intelligent run that creates space, the pass that shifts momentum.

FIFA Power Rankings presented by Aramco evaluates defense, creativity and attack, analyzing contributions across the entire pitch and throughout the full match. It is designed to celebrate football in its entirety — recognizing every dimension of performance, not just the obvious ones.
