Our data assurance
In 2025, we have 82 metrics (of which 24 have undergone external limited assurance) across 14 material sustainability topics, mapped to our four sustainability focus areas, with governance as an overarching element.
The Company's sustainability focus areas and sustainability performance are overseen by the Board of Directors' Sustainability, Risk and HSE Committee.
The following table presents Aramco’s sustainability metrics for the years 2025, 2024, 2023, 2022, and 2021. Reporting boundaries for each metric and for each year can be found on pages 91-97 of the 2025 Sustainability Report.
There are four terms commonly used with regard to the reporting boundaries of the metrics:
- Company in-Kingdom – Saudi Arabian Oil Company in-Kingdom wholly-owned operated assets.
- Operational control – Saudi Arabian Oil Company in-Kingdom wholly-owned operated assets, SASREF, Motiva, ARLANXEO, Aramco Trading Company (ATC), Aramco Services Company (ASC), Aramco Overseas Company B.V. (AOC), Aramco Fuels Poland (AFP), and Saudi Aramco Asia Company Ltd. (SAAC).
- Group – Saudi Arabian Oil Company, together with its consolidated subsidiaries, and where the context requires, its joint operations, joint ventures, and associates.
- Equity share – Saudi Arabian Oil Company's share of equity in the operation and asset.
